Dr Priya Hook
Dr Priya Hook (nee Balnaves) graduated with distinction from James Cook University’s Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). Having grown up in Townsville, Dr Priya completed her studies in Cairns and has worked in Innisfail, Mackay and Sarina prior to moving to Cooktown and opening Endeavour Dental in May 2023. Since completing her initial studies, Dr Priya has also advance her clinical skills and knowledge by obtaining Membership with the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons in General Practice (MRACDS(GDP)) in 2026.
While Dr Priya enjoys all aspects of dentistry, she is particularly interested and skilled in oral surgery. She is well known for her ability to clearly explain treatment options and diagnoses to patients and for spending time educating patients on how to achieve excellent oral health.
In her spare time, Dr Priya enjoys exploring all Queensland has to offer, scuba diving, playing piano, spending time with family and friends and walking her three border collies.

Dr Daniel Hook
Dr Daniel Hook, has graduated with distinction from James Cook University’s Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS (Distinction)), Biomedical Science (Honours) (BMedSc(Hons)) and Diploma of Health Science (DipHSc). He is also currently completing studies to become a rural generalist with anaesthetic skills with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
Dr Daniel and his family have lived in and around the Cooktown region since 2003. He is very excited to be back home and around his family.
While Dr Daniel works primarily as a provisional senior medical officer at Cooktown’s Multipurpose Health Centre, he is also Endeavour Dental’s practice manager. It is his friendly voice you will hear over the phone when making an appointment with us!
In his spare time Dr Daniel enjoys flying light aircraft, fishing, playing guitar and spending time with his family, friends and dogs.
